钡盐系类产品是以重晶石为主要原材料，经过深（精）加工后的数十种无机化工产品。该产品广泛应用于电子、航空（天）、石油化工、医药、高级陶（搪）瓷、橡胶、光学玻璃、高级填料、涂料、颜料、油漆、高级焊条、烟火、造纸等行业，长期以来属国内外畅销的紧俏商品，价格看好，新晃的重晶石远景储藏量达5亿吨。

对于该项目的开发，不仅符合国家的产业政策，而且对确立新晃县以矿产品加工为龙头的支柱产业地位，增强新晃县经济和社会发展的后劲，具有决定性的战略意义。

四、项目规模及资金来源

1、年产钡盐系类产品（高级碳酸钡、钼酸钡、钛酸钡等）10万吨。

2、生产基地及生活区占地约1400亩（其中厂区约1000亩、生活区约400亩）；

3、正式职工约2100人；

4、项目总投资：5000万以上，由外商全额投资。

独资、合作均可。

六、效益分析

本项目建设期2.5-3年。建成投产后，投资回报率20%。投资回收期约6.3年。
